Teri has over 20 years of experience valuing businesses and is an associate member of The Australia Property Institute (API) and a Certified Practising Valuer (Business).
After completing a Bachelor of Business/Accounting (QUT), Teri pursued a career as a financial analyst with the Commonwealth Finance Department, the London Securities Industry and then with Chevron Oil and Gas, undertaking economic modelling and analysis and budgeting and strategic planning for the Papua New Guinea Strategic Business Unit.
In 1997, Teri joined Gil Wright & Associates Business Valuations as a business valuer and has developed valuation specialisations in rent roll valuations, real estate sales offices, advertising hoardings, professional practices, pharmacies, retail, legal, accounting, financial planning, architecture, motor retailers, etc.
Much of Teri's business valuation work has been for complex compensation claims involving loss of profits or total destruction of businesses resulting from land resumptions.
Teri's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Business/Accounting QUT, completion of the relevant subjects from the Bachelor of Applied Science - Property Economics (QUT) and the receipt of the Jones Lang Wootton award for Specialist Valuation and two Dean's List Award of Excellence. Teri has also addressed seminars for financial institutions, for industry representatives, and at the REIQ Business Brokers Chapter Annual Conference on subjects relating to business valuation methodologies.
