Teri Roberts

Teri Roberts - B Bus Acc AAPI

Director and Senior Business Valuer
Certified Practising Valuer (Business)

Teri has over 20 years of experience valuing businesses and is an associate member of The Australia Property Institute (API) and a Certified Practising Valuer (Business).

After completing a Bachelor of Business/Accounting (QUT), Teri pursued a career as a financial analyst with the Commonwealth Finance Department, the London Securities Industry and then with Chevron Oil and Gas, undertaking economic modelling and analysis and budgeting and strategic planning for the Papua New Guinea Strategic Business Unit.

In 1997, Teri joined Gil Wright & Associates Business Valuations as a business valuer and has developed valuation specialisations in rent roll valuations, real estate sales offices, advertising hoardings, professional practices, pharmacies, retail, legal, accounting, financial planning, architecture, motor retailers, etc. 
 
Much of Teri's business valuation work has been for complex compensation claims involving loss of profits or total destruction of businesses resulting from land resumptions.

Teri's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Business/Accounting QUT, completion of the relevant subjects from the Bachelor of Applied Science - Property Economics (QUT) and the receipt of the Jones Lang Wootton award for Specialist Valuation and two Dean's List Award of Excellence. Teri has also addressed seminars for financial institutions, for industry representatives, and at the REIQ Business Brokers Chapter Annual Conference on subjects relating to business valuation methodologies.

Usha Abbey - B. Comm

Business Valuer

Usha has over 10 years of experience valuing businesses.

Usha joined Gil Wright & Associates Business Valuations in 2007 and since this time has valued businesses in many industries, including food, manufacturing, service, franchise and real estate. Usha has developed strong client relations and has had several repeat clients, most predominantly in the supermarket and news agency industries.

In addition to varied industry experience, Usha has valued businesses utilising a range of valuation methodologies, including capitalisation of EBIT/EBITDA, discounted cash flow and capitalisation of super profits, as well as comparisons to market ‘rule of thumb’.

Usha’s background is in auditing, holding both internal and external audit roles prior joining GWA. On completion of a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Qld), Usha joined KPMG Peat Marwick within the Audit Division and worked on numerous public and private company external audits as a senior auditor. Afterwards, Usha joined Qld. Transport as a senior internal auditor, gaining further valuable experience and insights into risk/control factors affecting businesses.

Sandy Aliphon - Diploma IT

Office Manager

Sandy joined the Gil Wright & Associates Business Valuations team in September 2014.

Sandy is our Office Manager and has over 10 years’ experience in business administration in various industries such as telecommunications, health care and wholesale, providing management support to directors, undertaking administrative tasks and ensuring staff have adequate support to work efficiently.

Sandy is always available to assist our clients when they call the office and will ensure that the valuation process will be a smooth one, progressing in a timely and efficient manner, utilising her IT skills to further refine this process throughout the year.  

Radha Warrier

Radha Warrier - Bachelor of Politics and International Relations 

Administration Assistant

Radha joined the Gil Wright & Associates Business Valuations team in August 2021.

Radha is our Administrative Assistant and has experience in administration across a variety of industries underpinned by 4 years in the real estate industry prior to joining GWA. Upon completion of her Bachelor's Degree in International Relations & Politics, she began her career as a property management assistant, gaining experience in composing contracts, compiling market reports, rental trust accounting, and has also worked across many property management systems. Following this role, she worked as an administrator within multiple industries such as building and construction, town planning, and retail property management. 

Radha supports our Office Manager with data entry and analysis, auditing sample documents, and the preparation of valuation documentation. She also lends administrative support to our Business Valuers in their visits to our clients' offices during the valuation process.
